Del’Mario Hairston - 2018 Comet Clinic Achievement Award
The Comet Clinic Achievement Award is given to a prior attendee of the Comet Clinic and has had exceptional results in track and field. We are excited to give the 2018 award to Del’Mario Hairston from Lake Catholic High School. His accomplishments include:
2017 Outdoor:
Ohio high school outdoor State Meet 3rd place 23’8.75
2017 Indoor:
Ohio MileSplit indoor athlete of the year
OATCCC Long Jump Division 1 State Runner Up
Aau junior Olympic long jump all American
New balance indoor long champion and record holder 23’8
2018 Indoor:
New balance indoor long jump 4th place 23’4
Ohio indoor 400 meter dash 6th place finish – 49.94
Ohio indoor track long jump champion at 23’8
His coach comments that Del’Mario accomplished most of this while a sophomore and is currently a junior. He has received interest from Kansas, Ohio state, Michigan, Minnesota, Florida, Florida state, LSU, Texas, and a variety of other schools. He is a well rounded exceptional kid. Anyone who has ever met this kid realizes is a humble, funny and free spirited kid.
It is our pleasure to give this award to Del’Mario and hope that this ASICS Comet Clinic provides current attendees with the knowledge, enthusiasm and motivation to achieve all of their goals!
